Legal Question in DUI Law in California

who pays when not at fault

A simple question, I was in a car accident and ended up getting a dui out of it. they were at fault and paid for my car.

Question is, are they obligated to pay for my medical expenses? I have a messed up head and an elbow you would not believe. Do I just grin and bare it or are they obligated as they were found totally at fault and I was found to have not part in causing the accident?

Re: who pays when not at fault

You need to contact an attorney immediately regarding your case. Although you were cited for dui. Your question is about personal injury. The insurance company for the other driver will try to reduce your recovery by referring to the dui. The adjuster has only one goal to settle your case for the minimum amount.

Contact a personal injury attorney in your area before you do anything.
