can probation be lifted?

How can we get a first offense probation lifted? My boyfriend has a job waiting for him but unable to get hired because he is still on court probation. He saw a judge who was unable to help him or give any advice as what to do next. She set up a follow up date and said ''needs to follow-up on procedures'' She did not clarify what procedures to do. She said she didn't know, had to call Sac. office and still was unable to answer his question of having probation lifted. What are these procedures and how do we do them? Probation is up 01-05-06

Hire an attorney to file a motion and conduct a hearing on terminating the probation early. To succeed, you must be able to show lots of good cause for the court doing so.
