Legal Question in DUI Law in California

I was recently charged with a DUI and willful cruelty to a child misdemeanor. Here are the details. I was driving and I felt like I was to drunk to continue and drive. So I pulled over. I had my friend's son with me, and I carried him along with me. I stopped at a nearby home and asked to use the phone. Those people called the police on me. Because I had my friends's child and I HAD been DUI. I was charged with willful cruelty to a child misdemeanor. Will I get time for this? I am very scared. I have a clean record! I am currently pregnant and don't want to go to jail.

And you don't want your unborn kid taken away. You need to fight hard to keep your clean record, and that means you're going to have to hire an attorney well in advance of your first court date.
