Legal Question in DUI Law in California
Warrant due to unsatisfied sentencing
I was convicted of a DUI in 1995 in CA. I was ordered to pay a fine to the court and to go to drunk driving school. I left the state shortly afterward and never fulfilled those obligations. I would like to clean this up but am unable to travel to CA. What should I do?

Re: Warrant due to unsatisfied sentencing
I represented someone in a very similar situation a few months ago. He was able to pay the fine and the court agreed to allow him to transfer his alcohol classes to his home state of Nevada.

You should hire local counsel to appear for you, plead your case and negotiate the best 'deal' you can get. Are you prepared to come back in state for that? Contact me if interested in discussing the details and costs of doing this.
