Re: warrent

It is guaranteed you have a warrant. To clear this, you will have to turn yourself into the court and try to convince them not to jail you. I suggest it is best you have an attorney represent you; it shows the court you are now serious about dealing with it, and shows you have spent some money, so the court doesn't have to penalize you as much. We handle this kind of matter regularly, so if interested in getting this done with the minimum fines and other penalties, contact me to discuss. That you have so many years clean will help.

Re: warrant

A warrant was almost certainly issued when you failed to show proof of the alcohol class or missed any other court-ordered obligations. And, it will never go away by itself. As Mr. Nelson indicated, you will have to clear it up with the court which considers you a probation violator. Jail time is often, but not always, a penalty for failing to comply with terms of probation, which you promised to do when you were placed on probation. And before you get your license back from the DMV, you will have to prove that you have completed the alcohol program. There have been some changes in the law in the last few years that can work to your advantage, so it would be a very good idea to have a lawyer appear with you at the probation violation hearing. If you'd like to speak with me about this procedure, feel free to call. Good luck. Steve Mandell 310 393 0639.
