Adult Protective Services Riverside County

How long can APS keep a case open and prevent an incompacitated pt from returning to family? The worker is not returning phone calls; nsg home is starving pt.; they will not release her pending phone call from worker. What should I do? No court action of any kind for 10.5 months.

You can let the starving continue. I agree with others. Contact APS and report your findings and consult an attorney on the alleged abuse.

Contact APS and report that nursing home is starving the patient. Hire an attorney to deal with the nursing home neglect.

As long as you let them.

If you have grounds for formal complaint, make it to them in writing and demand timely response and explanation, and follow it up with legal action if properly based on violation of law.
