Legal Question in Elder Law in California
elderly father
My father is 96 yrs. old. I know nothing about his personal business, he doesn't share. In the last 3 months he has a noticeable case of dimentia. He remarried 20 yrs ago and has ''stepchildren'' who know more than I do because the house belongs to their mother. What do I need to be able to give direction for medical and monetary matters.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Re: elderly father
If he is married, his wife is in charge. Only if you file for a Conservatorship and win control over him based upon proof of neglect or abuse would you have any 'say' in his affairs. Feel free to contact me if you think that is the case.
