How to file for conservatorship

My sister has been an asthmatic for years and after many emergency trips to hospitals when she had asthma attacks, and a bad experience when she overmedicated herself and was hospitalized and spent 8 weeks in a nursing home to be de-toxed she was advised to move to a Board & Care facility, in a dryer area where she would not be prone to so many asthma attacks.After two years free of asthma attacks an outside ''friend'' has urged her to move back into the damp climate that seemed to have contributed to the attacks. The ''friend'' has also promised that she has a friend who will manage Sister's money. Before moving to the B&C home, she had spent 8 weeks being de-toxed after misapplying some medications, including morphine that had been left in her hands, Sister has not given evidence of being totally competent to manage things, but she has been treated royally and can not complain about the care she has received -- why is the old ''friend'' urging her to return to the detrimental climate where she can have some more asthma attacks? How can I best protect her from this kind of a friend?

If she is not competent to manage herself, you or some family member could seek a conservatorship over her, if you think you can convince the court of that. You will need an attorney to represent you. Contact me if interested in doing it right.
