if social security cheek is less then

poverity level , can this cheek be garenchied ,even if the man is over 73 years old ?

I don't think social security is subject to garnishment. You might want to ask a social security or collections attorney.

Social Security is typically not subject to garnishment, and if the checks aren't being put automatically into a bank account, they aren't going to get their hands on them to do so. Your remedy is that, if they do garnish somehow, you can go to court with a motion to stop it; at that point the judge will determine the outcome of the dispute. When a garnishment occurs, you are provided a notice that explains what you have to do to get such a court decision. You should consult with your local Lawyer Referral Service to get pro bono help, it sounds like.
