Legal Question in Elder Law in California
My grandmother is showing signs of Alzheimers and has progressed to the point where she has swung at my grandfather. She refuses to seek medical attention. Is there something my grandfather could do to force her to go to a doctor for a medical evaluation and if so what type of lawyer should he ask for help from?

Sounds like he needs to consider putting her into a care facility if he can't physically control her. He doesn't need a lawyer for that unless the facility refuses to accept her without a court order. Then he would need an attorney to file and obtain a Guardianship or Conservatorship over her. If so, have him contact me.
