Legal Question in Elder Law in California
nevada or california conservatorship
My father is currently living with me due to complications due to alcoholism. He may or may not have suffered permanent brain damage and he will be living with us permanently. He was a resident of California until we brought him to live with us in Nevada. He has property in storage but no real estate. Should I get a conservatorship in California or Nevada? I read that in California a conservator is not allowed to bring the conservatee out of state. How do I get around this?

You apply for conservatorship where he lives now.
