power of attorney

I asked the previous question about my boyfriends sister obtaining power of attorney for their mother who has cancer if she does get power of attorney would they be able to have their mother move from the bay area ca to sacramento ca with out her husbands say? what kind of decisions could they make?

POAs are generally broad. Yes, they would likely have the power to move the mother to another location. To be sure, you'd have to see the POA. The is not the end-all, however. If someone wanted to stop the move they could file a petition for conservatorship.
