Legal Question in Elder Law in California
Preventing Quitclaim?
What is involved in adding an adult child to the deed on a house (fully paid for) or quitclaiming the deed to him? How can such a thing be prevented? The owner (father) is 88 and easily impressionable. The other 4 children suspect their brother may have such a plan. The Will says all assets are to be divided equally.

Re: Preventing Quitclaim?
Nothing can stop an owner from disposing of his property in any way he wants, unless you can prove he is 'incompetent' and needs a conservator appointed by the court. IF that is the case, and you want to take such action, feel free to contact me for legal help if the father and his property are in SoCal.
