Legal Question in Family Law in California

If I'm 16 and I sleepover at a friends house (not running away) my moms fine with it but my dad says he'll call the cops on my friends parents for harboring a minor if I do does that law apply

It depends on who has custody of you. If your mother has custody, and consents, it is not a problem, because you cannot be considered a runaway.
