retirement is usually governed by federal law if it a 401k or pension. Your insurance should provide you with the designated beneficiary forms.

If your husband has an interest in the plan because it was earned in part during the marriage you will need a Qualified Domestic Relations Order. (QDRO) That would need to be prepared by an attorney. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
