common law marriage

Hello,

Can you tell me if in California common law marriages are recognized?

Re: common law marriage

California has no provision for a commonlaw marriage to occur. However, California does recognize a common law marriage that occurrs in anotoher state. Thus if a man and a woman were living in Texas and complied with the common law marriage laws in that state, their common law marriage would be recognized in Califronia.
