Legal Question in Family Law in California

if my custody case was started and still in process up till the last ruling 18 month ago in ca and my daughter has gone to live with her mother in Az... doesnt this ca court still have jursdiction? i/e all new motions etc still need to be filed in ca? or does this now become an Az case

You can continue to use the CA court, but if the mother files a motion to change venue, it will be granted because the court where the child resides now has jurisdiction.

Ms. Healy is wrong. Unless you both have moved out of California, California retains jurisdiction over the child and neither California nor Arizona can change that over your objection.
