Debt

I have $38,000 in school loan debt. I borrowed some of it before my marriage and some of it after my marriage ( I was going to school before and after we were married.). All of it was deferred and became due after my marriage. We have been married for 6 years. Is this considered communiry debt?

An debt for education is generally assigned to the party who received the education. There are some exceptions and if it is an issue you should talk to an attorney to discuss all of the ramifications. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
