Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was divorced 1 April 2005 in California. I was ordered to pay 1200 per month spousal support. I did for 6 months and then lost my job. She then collected 1/2 of an early retirement in the amount of $583 per month. This ended in May 2010. I was remployed Jan 2008 but never resumed my spousal support payments. She (her attorney) has used the original divorce documents to garnish my wages for $1200 per month. Is this legal or does she need to return to court to retrieve payments. Thank you in advance

It is totally legal. A spousal support order continues in effect until it terminates by its terms or by further order of the court.
