Legal Question in Family Law in California

divorce/property

I have a car that was accquirred during our marraige, but is registered in mine and my mom's name and not my husband's. At the time of seperation he was in possession of my car and I was in possesion of our mini-van. He filed papers to take back the van and give me my car. It was ordered that if i was late on the payment he could switch cars. I was late and the van was repossed and now he will not give me back my car. I have the pink slip to the car and it isn't registered in his name. Can I report it stolen or is there any way that I can get it back?

Re: divorce/property

Don't file a stolen car report, the police wouldn't accept the report based on these facts and it is not in fact stolen. Go back to the judge that made the order previously and ask him to order the correction. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
