Legal Question in Family Law in California

I filed for divorce and it would be official at the end of January. Last month I revoked my petition. Can I reinstate it without filing all over again and waiting six more months?

There is more clarification needed here. What do you mean you revoked your petition? Did you file a Request for Dismissal and the court dismissed your case? If so, you would have to begin a brand new court case with another six month waiting period. You may wish to speak to the Family Law Facilitator's Office at your county courthouse or speak to a family law attorney in your area.

I agree with Ms. Bridgford. I think the legal term you mean to use is "dismissed." If the petition was dismissed, you will have to start again and file a new petition.
