Check with the county clerk. If you don't know where your wife is, divorce her. Go to court and file for divorce.

You may hire a firm to research public records, but if you have been where she could find you, you are probably still married because she would need to give you a copy of the divorce papers when she filed them. Probably it is easier just to file a new dissolution action and serve her by publication if you can't find her. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

If you don't know if you are divorced, then you most probably are still married. Unless you have changed addresses and jobs in the last three years and deliberatedly made an effort not to be found, you would have been served with the petition. You need to initiate the action. If you don't know your wife's current address, you will have to do a skiptrace, and if that is not succesfull, get an order to serve by publication. Don't try to do it alone, call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
