Legal Question in Family Law in California

i hate my house and I'm 16 i have a job a car that i paid for and my parents favor my step sister i was wondering if i could get emancipated i also have several places to live and i was wondering if my parents aren't up for it can i still get emancipated

You could get emancipated if you are able to prove to the judge that emancipation is the best thing for you. Aside from that there are still certain points that the judge will have to consider. Mainly:

1) Your age

2) If you have a job that can support yourself.

3) Your parents have to agree.

Remember, with emancipation, you cannot ask your parents for support and you have to pay for your own lawyer and still have to work it out with them if they are cool with your decision.
