Legal Question in Family Law in California

Internationally separated couple with child

I am a U.S. Army soldier, stationed in California, married to an English woman who has moved back to the U.K. with our 5-year-old child. Can she compell me to send her any money for child support?

There are treaties that provide for the enforcement of foreign child custody, and support orders. Support will be set under the law of the state in which the support order is made. You should check with the base legal officer regarding your options.
