Legal Question in Family Law in California

Leaving the county with child

What are the legalities with leaving the county with your child if you are still married. Nothing has been started with the divorce yet. Would i jeperdize anything by leaving the father and taking the kid? Is it legal?

Re: Leaving the county with child

You can legally take the child with you when you move to another county. The consequences of moving however, could be severe. If your move is only a short distance there should be no problem. If you or your child are victims of abuse then the move would justified because. Conferring with an attorney before taking any action.
