There is only one 6 month period (i.e. the "cooling off" period). It starts the day the petition for divorce is filed and ends 6 months to the day later. That is the earliest the final judgement can be entered.

There is no other waiting period. If a judge signs the judgement today, either person H or W can remary tomorrow.

Until 6 months has passed after service of the summons and petition the judgment cannot be effective. A judgment can be entered sooner it is just not effective until the six months has passed. This period does not begin when the petition is filed.
