Legal Question in Family Law in California
If a party files a quash service of summons and vacate jurisdiction, do they also have to serve it to the other party the day it is filed? If not, how long do they have to serve it to the other party in California?

A party is required to give notice of a motion at least 16 court days before the hearing. Court days are not calendar days, rather they are actual days the Court is open. If the other party does not give proper notice, you may appear at the hearing and request a continuance to be able to have time to respond to the motion.
