Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity test for unborn child.

If i establish my child's biological father while I am still pregnant, will the father be able to responsible for some of my pregnancy/delivery bills?

If I don't do the paternity test until the child is born, will the father also be responsible for some medical expenses I had during the pregnancy after the test is done for the born child?

Thank you :)

You don't have to establish paternity prior to giving birth to get the father to reimburse you for pregnancy or delivery. Although some paternity actions are filed for a child not yet born, the petition allows you to request reimbursement of pregnancy and delivery if you file after the child is born.
