Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am in the process of getting divorced, we are still living under the same roof (during short sale of home).

Soon-to-be-ex is being very munipulative when it comes to the use of our vehicle. He isn't employed and I work 35 miles from our residence. Both vehicles are in his name. I make the car payment. There have been times he has prevented me from even going to work. We have been married for 17 years and we acquired the vehicle 4 years ago. I don't know where I stand in this situation. I am the only one providing any income for our 3 kids and he is preventing me from doing that. Do I have any legal rights to any of the automobiles.

Yes. If you are actually "in the process of getting divorced," meaning there is a divorce proceeding on file, you can obtain a preliminary order that you be allowed use of one of the vehicles.
