Legal Question in Family Law in California

if I put a restraining order on someone but I contact them after that and I make the contact is the order still upheld or does it become broken? thanks

You may contact the restrained person, but the restrained person may not contact you. The restraining order is not broken, but it does hurt your argument that you are in fear of this person if you are constantly contacting him.
