Legal Question in Family Law in California
I recently went through a divorce and was awarded full custody of my daughter the father at the time stated to the courts that he was unemployed and unable to pay child support when I received the final divorce paperwork it states child support be paid as reserved I have since come to find out that he has been employed for the past two years. It is possible that he may be being paid under the table So that child support agency Won't find out about his earnings. Last month apparently he was a good Samaritan and saving someone from jumping off a bridge and the newspaper article states that he is Employed and it states where he's works. Since then child support agency reported his employers info and he called them to tell them he was laid off. But I personally know that he is still employed there because he still drives their company truck. Not sure how to go about getting child support from him. This is a man Who once told me that he will do anything or lie about anything He needs to, to avoid paying me any child sport. He currently only has monitored visits twice a month at a court appointed location but I can barely afford to drive her there since the location is not even in the same county I live in. And my daughter and I are currently living with my parents since I can not afford to move out and have been out on temp disability due to being the victim of a hit and run while crossing the street as a pedestrian back in october of 2011. How I I go about having the court order changed so that I can get child support from him? I have already contacted child support agency who told me he had reported that he was laid off, which i know is a lie, because he still drives the company truck. I believe he is being paid under the table.
