Legal Question in Family Law in California

Spouse Remarried?

I believe my ex-wife has re-married, but is keeping it secret to prolong alimony payments. How could I find this out (I don't know what county it may have taken place it). Thx

Re: Spouse Remarried?

Besides hiring a private investigator, which is expensive, you can issue subpoenas to find out. Since you pay alimony, you know where she banks, you could issue a subpoena to that bank to see if she has a joint account with her husband. If you know the husband's name, there is a lot you can do through his employer and you could do the same through her employer. There would be a change in insurance to place the spouse under coverage, etc. There is also the tax return, is she filing a joint tax return?
