Legal Question in Family Law in California

Do all states honor each others child support orders? Please don't judge me until you know the facts.

Issued by Santa Clara county child support services. Will all other states enforce the court orders?

DCSS cannot issue orders. Only a court can issue orders. DCSS can obtain orders from the court on behalf of children who need support. DCSS can issue a determination of THEIR calculation of support, but it does not become enforceable until it is made a court order. If a court order has been issued, they will generally be enforced by other states absent very unusual circumstances. However, the order from the state that issues it, must be formally adopted as an order of the other state first, and there is a process that has to be followed to get the other state to adopt the order. It is nearly automatically approved, but all the proper steps must be followed according to that state's rules for enforcing out of state orders and judgments.
