Legal Question in Family Law in California

Visitation/Court Appearance

I have a son in CA (Riverside County) who is 3 years old. I live in Alabama. Mother currently has sole physical and legal custody. I want to ask the court for more visitation but will I have to make an appearance or attend mediation in CA or can I call in? I don't want to waste money that I could be spending to go there and actually visit. Please let me know. Thanks!

Re: Visitation/Court Appearance

You may have a difficult time with sole physical and legal custody to the mother. However you may telephonically participate in mediation and have an attorney appear for you at the hearing. Contact me directly.
