Legal Question in Family Law in California

My {X} and i have joint & legal custody.; she has him mabe 1/2 day or day more than i have.; I the one that file for custody right's when my my son was 2yrs old.: She has been with about 4-5 man and my son involve.; Me stay to myself; I have ben keeping in contact with my son ever sens when hes with her; Know she does not let this happen. Also she was married to the 3rd man for a year then left him for an old ex-boyfreind.; She in her mind has right's to my son as step father.; I'm tryeing to be his father as much as i can and i want more.; She is starteing have her boyfreind take and pick him up from school instead of haveing me do it. She does not work and sleeps dureing this time from what i was told.; And the school is relaying my son's activety's or bad behaver to the mother threw her boyfreind when he pick's hime up from school.; This not right in my mind and i think she is violateing my rights. If i dont go as her wish's you might say she well take custody rights or time from my son.; Nor not to be able to talk to my son on the phone or let him call.; What is the law on this where can i get a print-out of it. i cant find it online.

You can file an Order to Show Cause to modify visitation. You can ask for an increased timeshare and for right of first refusal (she has to give you the option to watch your son before she leaves him in someone elses care for more than 4 hours). You can also request an order that you are allowed telephone contact with your son once a day. Good Luck.
