Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

family leave act

My sister had to leave california to take her husband with cancer to texas. it is a well know treatment center. she is under FMLA but it expieres Nov 3, and her work is laying off lots of people, my sister just needs her Insurance for her husband who has Cancer. what are her optiones. Her husband is still considered terminal.

Re: family leave act

FMLA does not protect her from layoff with the others after Nov 3. She'll have the right unemployment, and to COBRA conversion of her insurance coverage, make sure she doesn't let either drop through the cracks.
