Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
bad service of process
If service of process via substituted service was achieved through use of a bad address - therefore by a fraudulent means - does that give a legal basis to reopen the case no matter how long the judgment has been entered?

Re: bad service of process
If service was not properly made, but you appeared in court and argued the merits of your case against the other side, you waived your objections to the improper service and very likely will not be able to set aside the judgment.
