Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
In a case where I am defending self pro se, what do I refer to myself so that they know I am speaking as lawyer not testifying on my behalf?

If you are not a lawyer, you are not speaking as a lawyer. I am not exactly sure what you are getting at, but you are probably in too deep. If you are in front of a jury and you proclaim that you have your attorney hat on, the jury is going to think you are hiding something.
