Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
City Parking Signs Illegal
I have a judgement against a city in dispute of a parking ticket. The signs used by the city are illegal as determined by the MUTCD (law regarding signs). The city has not paid my judgement and continues to give tickets. They refused before court and after the judge gave them 30 days to respond to contact DOT to get the truth. They are set on defrauding the public. I should note, that the signs make it look like it is legal to park there, so it really is entrapment.
Anybody out there an expert here?
Should I run a class action suit (using what attorney)? They likely have millions if not 10's of millions in liabilities.
Should I sue them for my time, and try to get punitive added?
Thanks

Not an expert in this area, either. Sounds like a class action might be worth considering. Have you thought about getting the local media involved?

It does sound interesting. I have litigated class actions, some against government entities. Call if you'd like to discuss. Gordon Fauth, 510.238.9610. www.classlitigation.com.
