If a company is having wage garnishments on an individual, as ordered at court, how is it they wiped out the persons bank account suddenly?

To collect a judgment, the creditor has a wide range of options, such as garnishing wages, selling real and personal property, taking money from a bank account, and more. The creditor is not limited to doing only one thing.

I agree with Mr. Saltzman. Note that, if the judgment debtor puts the portion of his paycheck that remains after garnishment into his bank account, the creditor is not entitled to it for a certain period of time (I think it's 30 days, but I could be wrong). But the creditor and the bank usually won't know if this happened unless someone points it out afterwards. It is up to you to demand a refund if this happened to you.
