Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

computer protection plan

I bought a deffective laptop which

has now broken down for the fourth

time. Just a couple of weeks after I

bought it, it had already broken

down, and it has never worked right.

I purchased an expensive protection

plan, but every time I've sent the

unit in, they pretend to repair it, but

it comes back and the problem

hasn't been solved. I want the unit

replaced, but unfortunately, the

retail store I bought from has gone

bankrupt, and the repair service

covering the bond just gives me the

runaround over the phone. Can I

bring up a lawsuit for a new unit,

and also to cover my time and

aggravation, as well as the lost

working time from not having a

computer? I know CA has a lemon

law to protect consumers, but these

companies seem to find various ways

to dance around it.

Re: computer protection plan

File a small claims case against the repair place and take your evidence to court.
