Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Contract???

I early retired from a major US Corporation in 1996.I was promised Health Care for my wife and I at no cost for the remainder of our lifes.Received such Health Care at no cost till September 2002.Company went Bankrupt.I would like to pursue this.Please advise as to vehicle.

File a claim in the bankruptcy court, and with the federal office controlling pensions, you'll find the address in your pension plan paperwork.

Check with the retirement fund and see if they also went bankrupt. If not and they have the money for your health, you are O.K. If the company is liable for the payment of premiums for the health insurance, the best that you can hope for is to file a claim as a creditor who has a priority. You may get some relief, but probably not.
