if a credit card company took me to court and got a lien on my house that i own for the whole amount that i owed them, can they continue to collect interest on the amount owed?

Yes. If you have a "lien" (an Abstract of Judgment) on your house the credit card company obtained a judgment against you. In California judgments accrue interest at the simple rate of 10% per annum from the date of entry until paid. In addition, judgment are valid for 10 years and can be renewed every 10 years indefinitely.

Yes because they have a judgment against you. Judgments come with interest. However you should try to work out a payment plan and get them to take less than they are owed especially f your house has no equity. If it does then that just makes it a bit harder. At the end of the day they want to get paid and usually they will discount the amount owed to get paid sooner than later
