Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
After my daughter broke up with her boyfriend, she ripped some of his clothes. Now he is claiming damages. Can he do that? They dont live together, she told him to pick up his clothes, since it is her apartment but he did not pick them up right away. Now he is asking for a ridiculous amount to be spiteful. Please advise.

Replica the ones she ripped up and give him his clothes back. The rest of the answer won't change because you asked it again

He could try to file criminal charges for domestic violence against her. She should deal with this reasonably and pay for the clothes.
