Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Regarding faulty car repair.

I took my car into the dealer to have the transmission rebuilt. After they said the repair was completed, and i paid a few thousand dollars...i took the car home and it broke down. It is now in worse condition than when i brought it to them in the first place. They are refusing to pay to have the car towed and to finish the repair. What do i do?
