Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I just found out that I was being sued for $14,000 for an accident that happened in July 2011. I was never in an accident in 2011. The Register of Activity says my name and an attorney I have, Julio Lopez. I don't know who Julio Lopez is. The register also says that I've failed to reply or appear on numerous occasions but this is the first thing I received. I had a different insurance company back then, I now have a different one. I don't know what to do.

You'd better get in contact with the insurance company that you had then, with as much information that they can. The whole things sounds fishy.

It sounds likely there is name confusion between you and someone else. Immediately contact both your insurance companies and request they help and guide you in this. You may have to hire your own attorney to resolve this. If so, feel free to contact me.
