Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I am a high school volleyball official with ten years of experience. I am sixty eight years of age. This year I have been assigned a lot less matches than in the past and there are fewer officials than in past years.

One of my friends has been assigned many more matches than I. We have a new president in our association and he is also the assigner of the games. He and his buddies get most of the games.

Do you think I have grounds for a lawsuit?

Not unless you can demonstrate this is because of age discrimination, instead of simply politics and personality. "Fair" is not a requirement of management. If you can show discrimination through credible evidence, then feel free to contact me to discuss legal action available to you. Even without proof, an attorney might be able to remedy your problem with a legal demand letter.
