Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
What legal binding contact are we in that says we have to go to jury duty? For any legal action to take place upon an individual they would need to have a legal contract signed correct? Can a contact exist from thin air?

So you think you don't have to obey the speed limit because you didn't sign a contract to do that? You think you don't have to pay taxes because you didn't sign a contract to do that? You think you have to obey laws because you didn't sign a contract? There are a LOT of things that you are required to do or not do by law without signing any contract. Jury duty is one of them.
Juries are one of the most fundamental rights in the Constitution. Our founders fought and died to protect our right to a jury. It should be your honor, and it is your duty, as an American citizen to serve when called. How would you react if you were charged with a crime and no one would serve on a jury when YOU wanted and needed one? Would you want a tough judge be the one to decide your fate? You need to study American history and 'civics'.
