Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

We had a pitbull that got out and had attacked another dog. The dog ended up dying. She sent us the medical bills which we think is fair to pay. Now she is showing up at our house taking pictures. Can she sue the landlord for this? We dont have renters insurance.

Pitbull + no renters insurance = recipe for disaster. If all you will have to pay is the medical bill, consider yourselves lucky.

She can and probably will sue you and the landlord. Negotiate a settlement to avoid that
