Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

repossion of vehicels.

I have had 2 luxury vehicles in my possession in which I have paid on time for the last 4 yrs. I could not pay them for the last 6mon. In which I have wanted to return them but feared because they told me I would be arrested I did not call. I have been in my home and it as far as I know noone has ever come to my home to pick vehicles up. At this point they have gone to the measures of contacting everyone I know and have served them with supenas to come forth in court and tell them where I am.I am not hiding nor have ever hid I used to call and speak with them and everytime I was threatened and feared them. after awhile my phone was disconnected and stilll I receieve statements of what is owed not one letter stating that they are looking for me nor have come to my property. They have even offered people money to tell them where I am . Now they are claiming that i will be arrested for grand theft auto. and now I fear more. My brother has talked to them since and has told them they can get the vehicles and they have not shown up yet..Is all this true and correct. Am I going to jail? Will I be in trouble? Do I have something to fear. Please help!! I am scared and worried. I also reside in California. Thank you!!

Re: repossion of vehicels.

You can not sit quietly and ignore this situation, which you have been doing. Fear or not, you should have written them promptly to advise of the situation and to come pick up the cars. IF there is a criminal case now filed against you as I suspect, or a even just a civil case, you're going to need an attorney to help you sort this out and avoid jail or judgments. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting the legal help you'll need, if the case is in SoCal.
